"White Christmas" Show Needs Kids and Teens
Seeking kids and teens for "White Christmas" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: The musical White Christmas has some differences from the film, but the plot is roughly the same. Bob and Phil Davis, fellow soldiers in WWII, form a musical troupe after getting out of the service. In 1954, they meet Betty and Judy Haynes, two sisters who comprise a song-and-dance team. Due to some hijinks from Phil and Judy, the guys accompany the girls to Vermont, where they are scheduled to perform at an inn. When they arrive, they discover the inn is run by Bob and Phil’s former general, Henry Waverly, and they also discover Vermont is not the snowy wonderland they anticipated. The mild weather has caused the inn to struggle attracting customers, so Bob and Phil are inspired to support their beloved general by bringing in their troupe. While everyone prepares to put on a show to help the inn, Bob and Betty form a tenuous romantic connection, as do Phil and Judy. Bob and Betty’s connection is broken when Betty receives some misinformation about Bob’s motives in putting on the show. She leaves the inn and goes back to New York to start a solo career. Eventually, however, she discovers the truth, and she returns in time for the group to put on a show that celebrates the general and brings about a snowy Christmas.
