Casting Kids for Paid Documentary
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking a toddler and a child ages 5-6 for a Faith-Based Documentary (incl *Chinese/East Asian Actors please). More details are below. About the project: Directors are producing a documentary film on the extraordinary miracles that took place among members of a small rural Alberta church. One of the stories we are re-dramatizing is the miraculous escape of a missionary family from Communist China in 1950. The story follows a 4-year-old boy, his older sister, baby sibling, and their parents as they face persecution and divine intervention during a time of great danger. Rate: $150. Food and gratitude provided. Non-Union. Additional information: Project Type: Faith-based documentary with re-dramatization scenes. Key Locations: Rural Alberta (Sundre/Eagle Hill, Gull Lake). Settings will stand in for 1950s Sichuan hills, missionary home, riverbanks, and coastal journey. Commitment: Full-day shoot. Date: Saturday, September 13th. Scenes Include: Missionary family life in rural China. Soldiers raiding the missionary home and arresting the father. Village and riverside sequences. Family’s exile journey and miraculous survival.
