"Magic Tree House: A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens JR." Needs Kids

Kid Actors ages 6-18 years old are welcome to audition for "A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens Jr.". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: The magic tree house whisks Jack and Annie back in time to the foggy streets of Victorian London, where they meet the famous, well-off author, Charles Dickens, who has a severe case of writer’s block. Jack and Annie also witness the hardships faced by the poor, and their efforts to help only land them in prison. Mr. Dickens rescues Jack and Annie, and they, in turn, help him escape the sad memories that haunt him. In the process, they inspire Mr. Dickens to write one of the greatest holiday stories of all time. Additional info: Those auditioning should prepare 30-45 seconds of song, preferably from a musical, to sing at the audition. The audition also consists of a short reading from the script and learning and performing a short choreography routine. The audition material is attached. Youths should wear comfortable clothes and footwear. Rehearsals: Rehearsals will begin in early September (date to be announced) Rehearsal dates and times will be scheduled around availability; however, typical rehearsals will be Sundays 5:00 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesdays 5:45 – 7:15 p.m., and Thursdays 5:45 – 7:15 p.m. There will be a Tech Week of rehearsals from November 30th through December 3rd. These rehearsals are mandatory. Performances: There will be eight (8) performances of Magic Tree House: A Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens JR.
