Child Open Roles for "The Swan" Student Film
Looking for kids ages seven and up for "The Swan" Film. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: When a would-be defector comes knocking at his door, a young cellist training for a life-changing audition must decide between freedom and obeying his militant North Korean father. Rate: All roles are paid, Housing and travel will be paid for as well as you will get credit, meals, and a copy of the film. Additional info: UT Student indie film. Shooting Dates: November 14th - 17th and 21st - 25th. Shooting Location: East Texas or the general Texas area. IT IS IMPERATIVE FOR THE ACTORS (with the exception of Tiger Man) TO BE FLUENT IN KOREAN. English knowledge is preferred but not necessary. Korean-An obedient 11-year-old son who wants to make his father, Daegwon, proud. He does not know much of the world beyond the bubble he was raised in, and he believes that everyone is good at heart. NOTE - Needs to play cello at beginner level or higher. Interacts with fake blood and gore, and has a scene where DAEGWON is in underwear -please request the script for any specifics and directors will send it over.
Korean- A 13 year old childhood friend of Jeongsu's. She is rebellious and wants to defect for a better life. She is a strong individualist with dreams of being able to live for herself.
