Young Talent Wanted for "The Sound of Music"
Seeking kids and teens for "The Sound of Music". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: All actors will receive two comp tickets. Additional info: Non-equity only. Callbacks by invitation only: Saturday, August 30, 7-9 pm Rehearsals will begin the week of October 6. Please come prepared to share a list of your conflicts. The tentative rehearsal schedule is attached. Show dates: Dec. 5-7 & 11-13, 2025 Note: Directors may also add a matinee on Sun. Dec. 14, depending on demand. When applying, please record a video of yourself singing a 32-bar cut in the style of the show. All virtual submissions are due by Thursday, August 28 at 9 pm.

(low tenor, dance) Suitor to Liesl, telegram delivery boy, later Nazi soldier. A very pleasant young man, somewhat aggressive but in a gentle way.
(mezzo, dance) The oldest child, blossoming into a young lady with an interest in boys. She has a maternal edge to her and cares very deeply for her younger siblings.
Tough exterior, very much trying to be “the man” of the family.
Rebellious attitude.
(falsetto) Gentle and mischievous.
Smart, reads a lot.
Very sweet and gentle.
The youngest child.
