About the project: Annie is a musical about an orphan named Annie who lives in a New York City orphanage during the Great Depression. She dreams of finding her parents, who abandoned her as a baby. Through a series of events, she ends up spending time with billionaire Oliver Warbucks, who eventually wants to adopt her. However, Annie's hope of finding her real parents leads to a plot by her orphanage caretaker, Miss Hannigan, and her brother, Rooster, to impersonate her parents for a reward. Ultimately, Annie's optimism and love inspire those around her, and she finds a loving home with Warbucks and his staff, while Miss Hannigan and Rooster are brought to justice. Additional info: Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, September 10 at 6pm. Rehearsals for Annie will begin on or about Sunday, September 21st. Performances for Annie will be Wednesday, November 26th through Sunday, December 21st Auditionees who are interested in being considered for Annie should prepare a 32-bar cut (about 1 minute) of a musical theatre song and be prepared to learn a movement combination.
