About the project: When Brandon uses Manuel's free slush card from their local ice cream shop without asking, Manuel misses out on the coveted prize of the summer: a plastic Orange Toy he had been hoping to earn. Wanting to make it right, Brandon steals the toy to surprise his friend. But before he can give it to him, Manuel's life is suddenly uprooted by tensions at home, pulling him away without warning and without a chance to say goodbye. Rate: Non-Union. Honorarium and Food. He struggles at home, so he'd rather spend the sunny summer days playing and hanging out. Beneath his lively spirit, he hides emotional scars that sometimes lead him to forget things.
Brandon is the opposite of Manuel. He is energetic, impulsive, the kind of kid who speaks before he thinks. He is fearless, loyal, careless, but not unkind. He is very overprotective.
