"Wizard of Oz" Show Needs Boys and Girls
Performers entering 3rd-12th grade are welcome to audition for "Wizard of Oz". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: L. Frank Baum’s beloved story of a young girl’s adventure in a magical land has been entertaining audiences for over a century. MGM’s blockbuster 1939 film adaptation, featuring the timeless songs of Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg, along with the brilliant instrumental music of Herbert Stothart, elevated the popular novel to even greater heights. This stage adaptation, featuring the characters and celebrated songs from the film, brings the wondrous Land of Oz to life in a jubilant theatrical experience. Additional info: You may sing one of the songs attached OR a song of your choice. Please Come dressed in clothes and shoes you can dance in. Call backs by invitation only Weds 8/27 4-8 PM. Rehearsals will be monday and wednesday evenings and saturday afternoons, September 15-Nov 22nd Mandatory Tech Week: Nov 22-26. Performances November 28-29th, December 5th and 6th Please note we open the day after Thanksgiving and adjust family plans accordingly. Directors will not rehearse thanksgiving day.
