"A Christmas Carol" Musical Needs Boys and Girls

Seeking actors ages six and above for "A Christmas Carol" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: A Christmas Carol is the redemption story of Ebenezer Scrooge. A miserly and cold-hearted man, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. These ghostly encounters force Scrooge to confront the consequences of his past actions and ultimately lead him to embrace generosity and the Christmas spirit. Additional info: For efficiency, please download and complete the “Actor Audition Form” attached. Please bring it to the auditions along with your resume or list of experiences, and a recent headshot or photo. If you do not have a photo, one will be taken at sign-in. Audition forms will also be available in the audition room - please arrive a half-hour early if you do not have a form filled out in advance. Please provide a schedule of conflicts from September 14 to December 14. Actors must be available for all rehearsals and performances after November 21. Rehearsals will typically be two weeknights and one weekend day. Scheduling will depend on conflicts. Actors 12 and under will be released from rehearsals by 9 pm. During tech weeks, starting November 21, rehearsals will be more frequent and all actors will need to stay the entire time. There will be a break from rehearsals for the Thanksgiving holiday November 26-28. Auditions will consist of singing, and cold readings from the script. Please prepare an up-tempo musical theater song, one minute or less in length. Please bring marked sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Actors will be asked to try a standard British accent and a British Cockney accent during the readings. Callbacks will be by invitation only.
