Seeking talent in Grades 7-12 for "Shrek" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: SHREK: THE MUSICAL is a Tony-Award Award-winning fairytale adventure that brings all the film’s beloved characters to life onstage. Shrek is an unlikely hero who stumbles into a life-changing quest alongside a yammering Donkey and a Princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a “short”-tempered bad guy, a fire-breathing dragon, and a dozen other storybook misfits, and you have a treasure of a musical that’s as layered as an onion. Defend the swamp, wave your freak flag, and remember: it’s the weird parts of ourselves that make us worth rooting for. Additional info: CALLBACKS ( IF NECESSARY ): TUESDAY, AUGUST 26 Rehearsals: ( BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 2 ) Tuesdays (5:30-8:30 PM) & Sundays (1:00-5:00 PM) NOTE: Not all performers will be called to all rehearsals, and those who are called may not be needed for the entire time.
