Singing Audition for "9 to 5" Play

Singing auditions open for the play "9 to 5". See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she? Rate: All actors are paid a $100 rehearsal stipend and $40 per performance. Additional info: Callbacks Thursday, August 28 at 6:30 pm Prepare 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the piece and that shows you off the best. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. Rehearsals There will be one week of music rehearsal before the holidays in December (exact dates TBD) with full staging rehearsals commencing teh week of January 12, 2026. Performances 9-5 will run Friday, February 20th – Sunday, March 29th, playing Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:30 pm. A Note on Casting: Callbacks will consist of a dance call, readings from the script and singing from the score. With the exception of Roz, all roles will be expected to attend this dance call.
