About the project: Decades ago, Nettie's sister vanished in the woods, she believed she was taken by the Bokpolli (mythical people from the woods). Now, history repeats when her granddaughter disappears in the same trees. As Nettie turns to prayer and old stories, her daughter Tris refuses to believe in myths, convinced the truth is far darker. When Nettie uncovers a chilling clue, she must face a painful legacy tied to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Rate: Will pay for travel and accommodation if located elsewhere in the United States. Rate of Pay: 100-150/day. Additional info: Shoots near Jackson, MS. Shoots mid-October. DAY PLAYER.: Lizzie is the youngest in her family. She doesn't fully understand how dangerous the world is around her for Native girls. Her disappearance is the trigger that forces her family to face the past and finally understand who the real monster is in the woods.
DAY PLAYER: Beth is Nettie's younger sister who was the first to vanish in the woods. Her disappearance shaped Nettie's view on the world and it fueled Nettie's strong belief of the Bokpolli.
DAY PLAYER: She is playful and loves nothing more than her family. She experiences her sister Beth go missing, which shapes her view on the Bokpolli myth for her entire life.
