The story centers on the conflict between Dracula and a group of heroes led by Professor Van Helsing who strive to protect Mina Murray and Lucy Westenra from his dark influence. The play is a tale of love, temptation, and the fight against supernatural evil. Additional info: Callbacks August 13, 2025. Please prepare 1. Dramatic Monologue (1–2 minutes): Choose a monologue that reveals emotional depth, inner strength, and confrontation with fear or grief. It is recommended that you prepare a monologue specific to the character you want to audition for. You may also be provided with a specific monologue from the script — check with the director. 2. Cold Reading: Expect to read scenes involving: Comforting or confronting a sick or possessed Lucy/Mina Speaking with Van Helsing about unnatural forces Possibly resisting Dracula’s influence or warning others about it Rehearsals begin August 18, 2025.
