About the project: Based on the parable that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 25, the audience is not sitting in a seat but is submerged in the middle of the story. From the moment the Father of the Groom bursts in with the news that “it’s time,” to the sound of the shofar announcing the Bridegroom’s arrival, the audience will find themselves swept into a festive celebration. They encounter the bride as she prepares and waits in anticipation. Joining the wedding procession when the call finally comes the celebrative moments unfold around the audience. Unveiled will remind them to be in anticipation of the Lord’s return, just like the bride in this Jewish tradition. Additional info: Rehearsal Dates: Sunday afternoons on September 21, 28, October 5, 12, 19. Performance Dates: Friday and Saturday evenings on October 24, 25, 31, November 1.
