About the project: Mary Poppins is a magical musical based on the beloved books by P.L. Travers and the classic Disney film. Set in Edwardian London, the story follows the Banks family, whose world is turned upside down when the mysterious and whimsical Mary Poppins arrives as their new nanny. With the help of her friend Bert, Mary takes the children on a series of unforgettable adventures, teaching them important lessons about kindness, imagination, and the power of family. Full of heart, humor, and show-stopping songs like “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “Step in Time,” and “Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” this musical is a delightful experience for performers and audiences of all ages. Additional info: Please prepare a song to sing (not from this show), and dress in comfortable clothing for a dance audition. A piano accompanist will be provided at auditions, and directors will also have a speaker available for those using a karaoke track. Please prepare a list of any conflicts you have with rehearsals to your audition. Rehearsals will take place in the evenings on weeknights in September, October, and November, concluding with performances in December. Note that a fee will be applied. If interested, please apply.
