Looking to cast kids ages 6-17 years old for "Beetlejuice JR." Show. See the details bellow. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: It’s our show now, kid. The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium. Additional info: Please be prepared to sing a 1-minute song selection of your choosing (but do not select a song from the show). The song choice is best when it shows your vocal range, volume control, and phrasing. Consider bringing an accompaniment soundtrack and have the CD on hand, or have the music cued up on your mobile device. Callbacks will be held Monday, August 18 from 6-8pm. Please remember that not receiving a callback does not necessarily mean you have not been cast. Rehearsals will generally be on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6-8:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 9am-noon. Rehearsals may also be scheduled on Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons or evenings. Not all actors will be called for all rehearsals.
