About the project: "The Velveteen Rabbit" A child receives a stuffed velveteen rabbit as a gift. From a wise old toy, the rabbit learns that when a child loves you for a long time, you become Real, and the rabbit yearns to be Real himself. Eventually, the rabbit gets its wish: The child plays with the rabbit all spring and summer, and the rabbit doesn’t mind that its coat has grown shabby and its stuffing is coming out, because it knows it is Real to the child. But when sickness enters the household, what will happen to his beloved rabbit? "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" “Sha la la, Joseph, you’re doing fine! You and your dreamcoat, ahead of your time!” One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song, the musical follows preferred son Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh.
