About the project: Brigadoon: A romantic, musical fantasy with Scottish accents, dancing, and singing. Additional info: Callbacks: Saturday, August 2nd, 9 am-2 pm An accompanist will be provided at auditions to play along with you. A Cappella not allowed. Prepare a 1-min memorized monologue of your choice–using a Scottish dialect if auditioning for a Brigadoon character or an American accent if auditioning for only Jeff or Tommy Dance segment will be taught at auditions. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for movement. If younger than 12, then the parent must be auditioning as well and cast as well for the child to even be considered. The child must audition with the same requirements as above. 12-17 yrs must have parent permission indicated in the audition form. If you are interested please apply.

Baritone. Tommy’s sardonic best friend. Witty, dry-humored, and often influenced by alcohol. Less enchanted by Brigadoon than Tommy. American accent Some singing; comedic timing essential
Soprano. Scottish accent A kind, strong, and sincere Scottish woman. She falls in love with Tommy. Must move and dance gracefully and have strong vocals. Songs: “Waitin’ for My Dearie,” “Heather on the Hill,” “From This Day On”
Mezzo-Soprano. Scottish accent. Comic relief. Flirtatious, bold, and funny. After Jeff throughout the show. Big personality. Songs: “The Love of My Life” and “My Mother’s Wedding Day”
Soprano. Scottish Accent. Fiona’s younger sister. Sweet, gentle, and traditional. Marries Charlie. Strong dancer preferred. No solo songs, featured in wedding prep dancing scene, and wedding ceremony scene.
Tenor or high Baritone. Scottish Accent Jealous and intense. In love with Jean and enraged when she marries another. Dies fleeing Brigadoon. Strong acting role with dancing; dramatic.
Tenor. Scottish Accent Jean’s cheerful and energetic fiancé. Upbeat and romantic. Strong singer and dancer. Songs: “Go Home with Bonnie Jean" and “Come to me, Bend to Me”
