About the project: Between the Lines JR. is based on the novel by international bestselling author Jodi Picoult & Samantha van Leer, featuring a book by Picoult and Timothy Allen McDonald (Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach, The Big One-Oh!) and score by Elyssa Samsel & Kate Anderson (Apple TV+’s “Central Park”). Between the Lines is an empowering and enchanting story for anyone who has struggled to find their place in the world. An outsider in a new town and a new school, Delilah seeks comfort in the pages of her favorite book, where she feels heard and understood by the kind and smart Prince Oliver. But as the lines between fantasy and reality begin to blur in extraordinary ways, Delilah realizes her dreams in the real world are worth fighting for. Between the Lines Jr is a training production. Students will work with a creative team of theater teachers, voice teachers, and dance choreographers. Students will grow their skills and learn while putting together a 75-minute production. Delilah’s stressed-out mom. She’s going through a divorce, and while she’s trying to make everything work, she just can’t seem to get ahead. Grace has good intentions; she’s just overwhelmed.
Prince Oliver’s best friend who is half dog due to a curse placed on him by the evil Rapskullio earlier in the fairy-tale book. He is hopelessly in love with Princess Seraphima, who doesn’t understand that he isn’t really a dog. Vocal range top: A4 Vocal range bottom: G3
