About the project: Set in Victorian London, the story follows the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, a cold-hearted moneylender who despises Christmas and lives a life devoid of compassion and joy. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him to change his ways or suffer a grim fate in the afterlife. Scrooge undergoes a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. Rate: $16.50/hour for rehearsals and performances for 10-25 hours per week. No minimum. Note: All roles are non-union. All actors must be local to the Los Angeles/Orange County area. No travel or housing is provided. Performers under 18 will be cast as volunteers and will receive a $200 reimbursable stipend. Additional info: Callback: Aug 19, 2025 (subject to change) Bring: Copy of headshot and resume. Please prepare 16–32 bars of a song in the style of the show (but not from it). Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided. Rehearsals: Beginning October 23, 2025. Weekday evenings and weekends.
