About the project: Alan Menken's "A Christmas Carol: The Musical" follows the classic Dickens story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly and bitter old man who is visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve: the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. These spectral encounters force Scrooge to confront his selfish ways and the consequences of his actions, ultimately leading him to embrace the spirit of Christmas and experience redemption. Additional info: WHAT TO PREPARE: 16-32 Bars in the style of the show. Please bring sheet music in the correct key for the Music Director. *If auditioning for the Children's Choir, children (ages 8-15) may prepare a song of their favorite Christmas song. Treble/Boy Soprano: Bb3-D5) - Mr. and Mrs. Cratchit's youngest son. He is crippled and sick, but is the definition of loving Christmas spirit. He constantly reminds his family that as long as they all have each other; they will be happy.
Soprano: B3-Bb5) - Scrooge's fiancé from when they were young. She is a beautiful girl, not impressed or in need of money.
Db4-Db5) - the young daughter of MR. SMYTHE. Accompanies her father to ask Scrooge for leniency following her mother’s death. Small featured role.
