About the project: The Addams Family, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Additional info: Prepare 16-32 bars of an age-appropriate song in your range that also shows off your acting skills! Complete the forms attached (Audition Form & Attendance Policy) prior to arriving for your audition. It is preferred for the Audition Form to be filled out on a computer so that all fields are completed and legible. The form works best when opened and completed in Adobe Acrobat (not a web browser). The rehearsal schedule will be available shortly after auditions, and rehearsals will start during the week of August 4. During tech week (the week before the show opens), your child will have mandatory rehearsal EVERY evening from 6:00-9:30 PM. Performances: September 20, 21, 26, 27.
