Description:

Audition for "Dr. Seuss How The Grinch Stole Christmas". Looking for boys and girls talent. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: ABOUT THE SHOW: The Grinch discovers there’s more to Christmas than he bargained for in this heart-warming holiday classic based on the original book and 1966 animated film. Max the Dog narrates as the sour and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small”, decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday loving Whos. The innocent caring of Little Cindy Lou Who only saves Christmas but saves the Grinch himself. Additional info: Callbacks will be scheduled if needed. All will be seen in 5-minute slots and be asked to do a movement call at 10AM, or 1:00PM. SINGING: Please prepare a song from the show or a holiday song in the style of the show that best represents your range (vocal and acting). The section you sing should be no longer than 1 minute. Directors will stop you after 1 minute. If you are not singing from the show, please bring sheet music with you. No a cappella singing and no accompaniment tracks please. MOVEMENT: Please attend one of the two movement audition slots. (10AM – 10:30AM OR 1PM -1:30PM) A movement combination will be taught. This is about “Whoville” style more than choreography. Rehearsals will begin on some Saturdays in August and September. Full rehearsals will begin in Mid-October. Please bring personal calendars and be prepared to list all conflicts (Mondays-Sundays) beginning with Saturday, August 30, 2025 – December 14, 2025. Please do not assume that directors know when any general holidays are (ie., school breaks, etc) and plan to list those as conflicts if you will be out of town or otherwise engaged.
