Casting Call for Girls for "Frozen" Musical
Looking for girls 8 years old through 8th grade for the "Frozen" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she's desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home - with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. Additional info: CALLBACKS: By directors' invitation only. This list will be posted on ALT's homepage at noon on Wednesday, July 16th. Please note that not every character will require a callback. Not receiving a callback does not necessarily mean you will not be cast, nor does receiving a callback guarantee you will be cast. REHEARSAL PERIOD: July 21, 2025 - September 3, 2025 7:00-10:00 pm, Monday - Thursday. Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays are all possibilities for choreography rehearsal. (Directors will distribute a detailed rehearsal schedule for all actors.) TECH WEEK/DRESS REHEARSALS August 31-September 3, 2025 Crew integration, cue-to-cue, tech rehearsals. Required attendance. PERFORMANCES: September 4-21, 2025 Thursday, Friday, and Saturday shows at 7:30 pm, Saturday 9/13 and 9/20 also have a 2:30 pm show, and Sunday shows at 2:30 pm on 9/14 and 9/21. NOTE: Actors must be able to commit to all performance dates & tech/dress rehearsals. PICK UP REHEARSAL: September 10 and 17, 2025 Held at the directors' & stage managers' discretion. Vocal range top: E5 Vocal range bottom: A3 Next in line for the throne, Elsa has been born with magical powers that can overwhelm her when she becomes afraid and harm others if not handled with care. Fearful of hurting anyone, especially her beloved sister, Anna, Elsa becomes anxious and withdrawn as she grows older, before eventually learning to take control of, and become confident in, her powers.
Vocal range top: E5 Vocal range bottom: Bb3 Filled with a tremendous amount of light, energy and love, Anna is a hopelessly optimistic extrovert at all ages, but as she grows older, she longs for connection with others, especially her sister, Elsa. She is a warm and determined princess that is a strong singer with great comic timing.
