About the project: Beautiful: The Carole King Musical tells the inspiring true story of Carole King’s remarkable rise to stardom. Before she became one of the most successful solo acts in pop music history, Carole was a teenage songwriter working behind the scenes with her husband and writing partner, Gerry Goffin. Together, they crafted some of the biggest hits of the 1960s for artists like The Shirelles, The Drifters, and Little Eva. As their marriage unravels, Carole finds her own voice and steps into the spotlight, transforming heartbreak into enduring music. Featuring unforgettable songs like “You’ve Got a Friend,” “It’s Too Late,” and “Natural Woman,” this jukebox musical is a heartfelt tribute to resilience, creativity, and the woman behind the music that defined a generation. Rate: This is a Non-Equity/Non-pay role for those auditioning. Additional info: Callbacks will be held on Monday July 14th at 7:00 PM (By Invitation Only) Show dates are September 11th-28th, 2026. You are required to be at Tech Week the week leading up to the show. This show will be performed with a live band WHAT TO PREPARE: Please come to auditions prepared with 32 bars of any musical theatre song that best fits and showcases your range. Give your audition as much character as possible! The directors ask that you do not audition a cappella. An accompanist will be present as well as a Bluetooth speaker. Also, Please Do Not Sing a song from the show. Dress comfortably for the dance portion of the auditions. Absolutely NO Flip-Flops for the dance portion of auditions.
