Seeking Girls for "Little Women" Show
Seeking talents ages 14 and up for "Little Women" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: Based on Louisa May Alcott's 1868–69 semi-autobiographical two-volume novel, it focuses on the four March sisters— traditional Meg, wild, aspiring writer Jo, timid Beth and romantic Amy,— and their beloved Marmee, at home in Concord, Massachusetts, while their father is away serving as a Union Army chaplain during the Civil War. Intercut with the vignettes in which their lives unfold are several recreations of the melodramatic short stories Jo writes in her attic studio. Additional info: Auditions will be readings from provided sides. Short monologues are welcome but not required. Please be familiar with the book "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott. Rehearsals for the 4 sisters and Laurie will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings starting the second week of August, with no rehearsal the last week of August. The rest of the cast will start after Labor Day, with a read-through on 9/3. Rehearsal will increase to Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday evenings after 9/17. Please bring a list of conflicts if any. Please do not audition if you are unable to attend tech week or any scheduled performances. Show dates include nine performances between November 14 and November 30. If interested, please apply.
