About the project: Notes from the Director: Prepare to join the creepiest, kookiest, most loving family that has graced print, screens, and the stage. The Addams Family Musical is a story that pays homage to this classic family with its macabre comedy and love for one another, but with a new twist that turns their world upside down: in-laws. While The Addams Family is irrefutably a comedic piece, I am seeking actors that can keep their characters honest, authentic, and grounded in spite of the shenanigans that ensue. Additional info: Please prepare 16-32 bars of a comedic musical theatre song and bring a device with a karaoke or instrumental track that can be plugged into a speaker. Auditioners will be seen on a first come first serve basis. Actors of all races, gender identities, body types, and abilities are strongly encouraged to audition. With the exception of Pugsley, actors must be at least 18 years of age to participate in this production. If cast, a parent of Pugsley must be available and present for all rehearsal and performances. Callbacks will be held by invitation only on Wednesday, July 9th from 7-10PM. Callbacks will consist of a short dance combo, singing from the score, and cold reading as needed. If invited, please come dressed to move with appropriate footwear. Please note, not getting a callback does not mean you will not be cast.
