Seeking kids ages 6-10 years old and teens ages 14 and up for "Freaky Friday" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Freaky Friday: The Musical is a heartwarming and hilarious stage adaptation of the beloved Disney story. The musical follows teenager Ellie Blake and her mother, Katherine, a perfectionist wedding planner, who magically swap bodies after a heated argument sparked by a mysterious hourglass. Forced to live each other’s lives for a day, they gain a deeper understanding of each other’s struggles, hopes, and fears. As chaos unfolds—with high school drama, wedding mishaps, and a lot of laughs, they must find a way to switch back before time runs out. Additional info: Actors will be scheduled for 1 hour in groups of 10, then divided into two: 5 will go dance/5 will read/sing, and then switch. A Vocal Selection: Teens/Adults/Children: Prepare a contemporary musical theater or pop song - 32 bars. You may sing from the show – but not required. If auditioning for the show, please sing a song for the part you would prefer. An accompanist will be provided. Dance Sequence: Please come prepared, knowing the dance audition combination. Acting: The Director will have sides available for cold readings. Please note, anyone under 18 must have an adult present to sign off on audition forms. Performance Dates: Weekends of September 19th and 26th - Fridays and Saturdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 2 pm.
