Seeking Kids and Teens for "The Nutcracker" Ballet

Looking for dancers ages 5 and up for "The Nutcracker" Ballet. Please see the details below. Additional info: All local dancers are welcome to audition. Please arrive with enough time to stretch and warm up. ATTIRE: Female dancers, please wear pink tights and a solid-colored leotard. You are welcome to wear a ballet skirt. Please have your hair secured in a ballet bun. Please remove all jewelry apart from stud earrings. Male dancers, please wear black tights or pants and solid colored shirt. Please have your long hair secured away from your face. Please remove all jewelry apart from stud earrings. Dancers must have completed at least one year of class en pointe to audition for pointe in this production. SHOW DATES This year we will have public performances as well as school performances. At auditions, please be prepared to let the director know if you will be available for school performances during school hours. REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from August to December. Dancers may only miss 2 rehearsals. Missing more than 2 rehearsals will result in the dancers being asked to leave the production. Tech week rehearsals will be Monday, Dec. 1 - Thursday, Dec. 4th, and they are MANDATORY. If you are not available to rehearse that week, please do not audition. Public Performances: Friday, December 5th @ 7:00 pm Saturday, December 6th @ 2:00 pm Saturday, December 6th @ 7:00 pm Sunday, December 7th @ 2:00 pm School Performances: Tuesday, December 9th - times tbd (during school hours) Wednesday, December 10th - times tbd (during school hours) Thursday, December 11th - times tbd (during school hours) Note that the participation fee will be applied.
