Seeking talents ages 12 and up for "Treasure Island" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Treasure Island follows young Jim Hawkins who dreams of a life of adventure on the high seas, but is stuck on the coast at the Admiral Benbow Inn with his mother and father. However, his luck soon changes when eccentric wayfarer Billy Bones takes up lodging at the inn, warning everyone of a one-legged man. What ensues is a rip-roaring adventure of deception, loyalty, and valor among ocean tides and a deserted island as Jim and crew search for the long-lost treasure of Captain Flint. Additional info: Auditions will consist of acting, singing, and a movement call. Upon arrival, you will be shuffled to three different rooms: an acting portion, a singing portion, and a movement portion. Please be prepared to stay for a three-hour block. Callbacks will be held the same day, July 19th, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Rehearsals begin Monday, September 15th, and will run Monday through Saturday from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. Not everyone will be called every day. Tech Week: Sunday, October 5th- 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Civic Center’s Freede Little Theater. Monday, October 6th through Thursday, October 9th - Call Time @ 5:00 pm / Run-Through at 6:00 pm. Dismissed at 9:30 pm. Friendly, excitable, and somewhat gullible benefactor of the Hispaniola excursion. She is enthusiastic about adventure and treasure. Generous and patriotic, but can also be impulsive and prone to gossiping, and he sometimes struggles with keeping secrets. She arranges the voyage and is in charge of hiring all of the pirates. Must be willing to sing solo and/or ensemble.
