Teen Talent Needed for "Something Rotten" Play
Audition for "Something Rotten" Play. Open to ages 16 and up. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Auditions will run in 1-hour segments. You will be required to sing 16 - 32 bars of a song NOT from this musical but in a similar style. Please bring your own audition track. There will also be a short dance component to the audition so please dress comfortably. There will be cold reads from the script. No monologue is required. Please be punctual and be able to stay for the entire hour or longer Production and Performance Dates Rehearsals begin July 21st. Day and times to be announced shortly but will be in the evenings and occasional Saturday mornings. The show runs September 19 - October 12 every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:30 PM. If interested, please apply.

A struggling playwright who dreams – much to his own chagrin – of having a career like Shakespeare’s. Though Nick is artistically frustrated and stressed about leading the Troupe, he means well, even if his actions aren’t always exactly ethical. Vocal range top: F5 Vocal range bottom: G3
Nick’s sweet younger brother, lacks the confidence he needs to write until he falls in love with Portia. Inspired by her confidence in him, Nigel writes verses worthy of Shakespeare himself! Vocal range top: G#5 Vocal range bottom: C4
A posh patron of the theater. He abandons the Troupe as their patron once they cross Brother Jeremiah.
Banned from any profession other than moneylending, but theatre is his true love, and he wants nothing more than to become the Troupe’s patron
