"The Wizard of Oz!" Show Seeks Boys and Girls

Audition for "The Wizard of Oz!". You must be at least 6 years old to audition. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away from their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route, they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West to earn his help. Additional info: Please come prepared and memorized with the following: 1. A 60-90 second monologue that captures your acting abilities (energy, expression, volume, etc.) 2. 16-20 bars/measures of a song that features your vocal range well Audition Process: Arrive 15 minutes prior to your audition time slot and come directly to the registration desk. Please note that although audition time slots are listed in 20-minute increments, performers will be called in to audition one at a time during your chosen time window. Therefore, we recommend that you bring a quiet activity for while you wait. You are able to leave immediately after your audition is complete. Rehearsals: If cast in this show, performers must be able to attend rehearsals on Tuesdays from 6-9 PM, Thursdays from 6-9 PM, and Sundays from 1-5 PM. Please note: Directors may occasionally need to extend the duration of a rehearsal, but this will be communicated in advance. Also, not all actors will be called for every rehearsal. We will provide a schedule detailing who needs to attend each rehearsal. Please note that the fee applies. If interested, please apply.
