Teens Needed for "Puffs" Musical

Teens in grades 7 and up are welcome to audition for "Puffs" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Have you ever wondered what it was like for the other students at that famous school of magic? You know, the ones who weren’t exactly the “chosen one” or super smart, or even a little bit sneaky? Well, Puffs, tells their story! Meet Wayne Hopkins, a regular kid who suddenly finds out he’s a wizard and is off to a very special school. He’s sorted into the Puffs – the kind, loyal, and maybe a little overlooked house. Over seven wonderfully wacky years, we follow Wayne and his Puff pals, like the quirky Oliver Rivers and the fiercely loyal Megan Jones, as they navigate classes, friendships, and all sorts of hilariously chaotic events that you might recognize from a certain famous book series. Puffs is a super funny play that looks at the magical world from a brand-new, totally Puff-tastic point of view. Get ready for lots of laughter, silly spells, and a heartwarming story about what it really means to be brave, even if you’re not always in the spotlight. It’s a magical adventure that proves even the seemingly ordinary can have an extraordinary time! Additional info: Please come prepared to the audition with a 1-minute comedic monologue. You will be performing your monologue in front of other potential cast members, the director(s), and the producer. If you are interested in the part of Zach Smith, please come prepared with an additional minute of original stand-up comedy material. Unlike some auditions where you perform and then quickly leave, in the first 30 minutes of this audition, we will be getting to know you and playing improvisation games. We will then perform monologues and comedy bits. You will be expected to stay for the entire 45-minute block.
