"Oliver" Musical Needs Boys and Girls
Looking for kids ages 10 and up for "Oliver!" Musical. Please see the details below. About the project: "Oliver!" is a stage musical by Lionel Bart, based on Charles Dickens’ novel Oliver Twist. It follows the journey of Oliver Twist, a young orphan in Victorian England, as he struggles to find a home, family, and love. Additional info: NOTE: You only need to come to one night. All children under 15 must audition with one of the attached songs. Auditions for Ages 16+: Please prepare 16-20 bars of a golden age musical song. Everyone MUST have sheet music in the correct key. Please no Sondheim. Music must be in a 3 ring binder. There will be an accompanist provided. No A capella. Songs should be memorized so the directors can watch you, your character choices, and vocal ability. DANCE AUDITION: Please bring proper shoes and clothing to change in to for the dance audition. Jazz shoes or sneakers are fine for the audition. Absolutely no open toe shoes, high heels, crocs, sandals, etc. This is for your safety. Please download, print, complete, and return audition form attached when you arrive at the audition. Please be sure to circle all possible conflicts. Directors cannot accept added conflicts once the show is cast. Accurate and honest conflicts will help them finalize the rehearsal schedule. Range: A3 – F5 A clever and street-smart boy, Dodger is Fagin’s top pickpocket and becomes Oliver’s first friend in London.
Range: F4 – B♭5 Nancy’s younger friend and a minor member of Fagin’s gang, loyal to Nancy.
A bullying apprentice at the undertaker’s shop who torments Oliver.
