Montague "Monty" NavarroMale15-18 y.o.All ethnicities

A charming and clever young man who discovers he is ninth in line to inherit the Earldom of Highhurst. Initially mild-mannered, he becomes increasingly ambitious (and homicidal) as he navigates the obstacles in his path. He possesses a dry wit and a knack for finding himself in precarious situations. Typically, a Baritone range, Bb3 to Bb5 or A2 to A4. He needs a strong upper range for some of his more impassioned moments, but also a solid lower register.

The D'Ysquith FamilyMale15-18 y.o.All ethnicities

(All played by one actor): A collection of eccentric and often unpleasant relatives who stand between Monty and the earldom. Each D'Ysquith is a distinct comedic caricature of British aristocracy. The range is generally within the Baritone spectrum, approximately F#2 to G#4 or B2 to F4.

She is flirtatious, dramatic, and enjoys being the center of attention. Usually, a Mezzo-Soprano with a good high belt, with a range around Gb3 to Gb5 or F#3 to A5. She needs to be able to sing both lyrically and with a more contemporary, belt-driven sound.

Phoebe D'YsquithMale15-18 y.o.All ethnicities

Monty's sweet, intelligent, and virtuous cousin. She is kind-hearted and possesses a gentle nature but also has a quiet strength and a keen intellect. Initially mourning her late husband, she finds herself drawn to Monty's charm and wit. A Soprano, often with a "legit" or even operatic quality. Her range is typically G#3 to a high sustained C#6, sometimes with an optional Eb6. She often sings in a more classical style, requiring agility and a strong upper register.
