Based on the bestselling books, the saga of the wisecracking first-grader continues in Junie B.'s Essential Survival Guide to School, a goofy and heartwarming follow-up to Junie B. Jones, The Musical. A self-appointed expert on all things first grade, Junie B. is determined to write the ultimate guide - Junie B.'s Essential Survival Guide to School. As she deals with writer's block and constantly getting into trouble, Junie B. quickly realizes that she still has a lot to learn. Featuring new, upbeat songs from Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich (Junie B. Jones, The Musical, Dear Edwina), Junie B.'s Essential Survival Guide to School is a hilarious, whole-hearted show about owning up to your mistakes and how nobody is ever done learning. Plus, VYT is proud to present this music the entire month of August, making it a perfect show for those going to school for the first time or going back to school! Additional info: Approximate rehearsal dates can begin as early as the week of June 16 and run though August 7, 2025, Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturdays. Before tech, evening rehearsals will be 5p - 9p; tech rehearsals will be potentially until 10 pm. We understand that some students may have conflicts where they may miss rehearsals, must arrive late, or leave early. However, cast members will not be able to miss rehearsals during tech week or the run of the show. Tech rehearsals start August 2. Opening night is August 8, 2025, and runs through August 31, 2025. There are several weekday matinees for schools in addition to the traditional evening and weekend performances. Again, cast members will not be able to have any conflicts between August 2 and August 31, 2025. Please see the attachment for details. If you are interested please apply.
