About the project: Based on the blockbuster motion picture turned Broadway show, Beetlejuice JR. tells the story of a strange and unusual teenager named Lydia Deetz, still grieving the loss of her mother, and obsessed with death. Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased quirky couple of ghosts named the Maitlands, and Beetlejuice, a notorious demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium. This zany, madcap musical is “frightfully” hilarious and fun for the whole family, guaranteed to make you want to dance till “daylight comes”. Additional info: Auditions are held in one-hour blocks with up to 25 performers per slot. 2. When you arrive, head through the main entrance of the Performance Hall to check in and receive your nametag and audition number. 3. Once checked in, auditioners will be seated in the theater. 4. One by one, each performer will take the stage to sing their audition piece. 5. After everyone has sung, we’ll teach a short dance combo—then you’ll perform it in small groups. 6.
