A scholarship student and outsider thrown into the overwhelming chaos of Chromatics—an elite school that worships originality but thrives on conformity. Quietly rebellious, thoughtful, and observant. UNO doesn’t fit in– without a wealthy family or eccentricity to homogenize with the rest of the school– UNO doesn’t fight to fit in either, and likes to go against the grain to fight for what’s right. Must be able to convey internal conflict and transformation with subtlety.
Additional Character. Supporting. Charismatic and performatively "woke" social queen of the school. Underneath her curated persona is a hollow desire for attention and validation. She welcomes UNO with fake warmth but harbors a superiority complex. Think influencer energy meets Mean Girls. Looking for someone who can balance bubbly cruelty and quick wit with moments of insecurity.
Additional Character. Supporting. Dramatic, strange, and obsessed with making everything conceptual. The “performance artist” of the group. She speaks like she's always mid-monologue. Her projects are often disturbing or ridiculous—but she’s dead serious about them. Offbeat comedic sensibility required. Think Aubrey Plaza, Phoebe Buffay (Friends), Karen Smith (Mean Girls), meets a first-year MFA student.
Additional Character. Supporting. The quiet observer of the trio. Goes with the flow, rarely speaks out, but always watches. Highly concerned with maintaining a good reputation and networking. Often the voice of reason, though drowned out by Gen and Cordelia’s chaos. Possibly has more depth than he lets on. Looking for subtle, reactive performance. Dry delivery is a plus.
Additional Character. Featured Extra/Background. Bold, aggressive, and possessive of their materials. Starts a confrontation by fighting over paint supplies. Looking for: Strong physicality and expressive facial reactions. Expressive body language is key.
