About the project: Set sail for adventure and laughter with Anything Goes, the sensational musical by Cole Porter! Packed with unforgettable tunes, dazzling dances, and hilarious hijinks aboard the S.S. American, this high-energy show follows the madcap antics of characters like Reno Sweeney and Billy Crocker. With hits like "I Get a Kick Out of You" and "You're the Top," Anything Goes promises a night of entertainment, laughter, and sheer joy. Don't miss out on this timeless classic! Additional info: Please prepare a short vocal selection that best shows your abilities and range (bring sheet music if the selection is not from the show). Wear comfortable clothing and footwear for the dance audition. If you are a tapper, please bring tap shoes. Also, expect cold readings from the script for key roles. Performance Dates: October 3, 4, 10, 11 at 7:30 PM; October 12 at 2 PM Tentative Rehearsal Schedule: Sundays from 6:00 - 9:00 PM; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 - 10:00 PM, beginning August 3. (Featured, Tenor) - A reliable, alert, and by-the-book, with an air of confident style. Great Comic timing and physical. In and out through the entire show he keeps a lot of the action a float!
(Principal, Baritone C3-D4) - A successful Ivy league Wall Street banker/business tycoon. Extremely near-sighted and a gloriously functional drunk. Huge personality. Used to snapping his fingers and having the world stop to listen. Thinks he's right, but also capable of listening to reason and changing his mind. Down-to- earth in some ways and outlandish in others. Very loyal to his alma mater (Yale).
