Seeking Teens for "The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition"

Current 6th-12th grade students are invited to audition for "The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Students auditioning should prepare one of the audition songs and one of the monologues attached. Auditions will also consist of a short dance that directors will teach you, as well as reading from the script. Callbacks, if necessary, will take place on June 5th from 5 pm - 8 pm. Rehearsal will begin June 17 and will take place Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1 pm - 4 pm. Principal roles and dance ensemble roles may occasionally be called on Mondays, depending on cast conflicts. All rehearsals and performances take place at West Allis Central High School. Cast members will be invited to participate in the July 2 West Allis Independence Day Parade - 7 pm (Not Required) Cast members will be invited to participate in the WAWM Back to School event the morning of August 26 (Not Required, but strongly encouraged) Mandatory Dates/Times for all performers and crew: Monday, August 11 - Tech Rehearsal (4:30 pm - 9:00 pm) Tuesday, August 12 - Tech Rehearsal (4:30 pm - 9:00 pm) Wednesday, August 13 - Dress Rehearsal (4:30 pm - 9:00 pm) Thursday, August 14 - First Performance (5:00 arrival; 7:00 performance) Friday, August 15 - Second Performance (5:00 arrival; 7:00 performance) Saturday, August 16 - Third Performance (5:00 arrival; 7:00 performance) Sunday, August 17 - Final Performance (12:00 arrival; 2:00 performance) Monday, August 18 - Strike (Clean Up) (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm) If interested, please apply.
