"Beetlejuice JR." Show Needs Boys and Girls
Anyone entering 4th grade-High School Sophomore may audition for "Beetlejuice JR." Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Singing: Auditioners may sing up to 90 seconds of a Musical Theatre song. Do not sing a song from the show. Please avoid pop/rock songs. A backing track is required. Audition songs must be memorized. A speaker and an aux cord will be provided. Dancing: All auditioners will be learning a simple combination. Appropriate footwear is required. Open-toed shoes, Crocs, or bare feet/socks-only will not be allowed. Please bring a change of clothes or dress accordingly. Reading: All auditioners will be asked to read from the script. Directors will ensure that you read each character you list as a desired role (within reason), but please expect to read for ANY characters despite your preferences! Audition Sides (excerpts from the script) will be attached. Auditioners are NOT required to memorize sides, but it is encouraged to read all sides prior to auditions. Whip-smart, grieving 15 year-old whose dark sense of humor helps her cop with the loss of her mother. She is unfazed by Beetlejuice's tricks and easiy holds her own against him and all other things in the Netherworld. The undeniable heroine of this story.
A zany, spooky, kooky, and hilarious character. While he exists in a morally gray area he is more of a trickster rather than an actual threat. While ultimately he will mainly lookout for himself he will at times help others out with their own goals.
A devoted husband to Barbra and overall good guy, yet he cant seem to ever catch a break. While living life to the best of his ability's he had been preparing for everything he could think of, except and untimely death.
While a little more adventurous than Adam she seems to be on the same page as her husband. She is very kind and a quick thinker but also stays strong-willed. She immediately bonds with Lydia and being close with her.
While wanting to help his daughter, Lydia, overcome the loss of her mother he's not always the most attentive to exactly what she needs. He is under a lot of pressure between his romantic life, professional life, his family life, and his own grief. Hiding his own grief and struggles while juggling life has made things difficult.
Pompous yet hopelessly optimistic. She fully believes everything her guru Otho says. She believes herself to be a life coach but underneath her showing personality, she is quite fragile and wants nothing more than to fit in with the Deetz's. She loves Charales and cares deeply about Lydia, even if it may not always come off as that.
Sky is a girl scout with a congenital heart condition who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. She has a genuine innocence to her yet can fully understand the dark humor around her fate.
A former Beauty Queen who greets the recently dead in the Netherworld.
A strong business tycoon whom Charles hopes to impress.

Beetlejuice's mother who runs the recently dead intake with an iron fist. She had a voice like "road tar" and has no sympathy for anyone.
The sandworm will be puppet-like and a physically intense role.
