About the project: Logline: After a painful breakup shatters his sense of purpose, a skeptical African American college freshman confronts his doubts about faith when he crosses paths with a passionate Christian student leader who challenges him to reconsider everything he thought he left behind. Summary: New Life is a raw and authentic faith-based coming-of-age story about a college student navigating his relationship with Christ and all the bumps and struggles that come with it. The story follows Peter, an African American college freshman who is struggling to believe in Christianity. After experiencing a traumatic breakup, Peter begins to question his life, purpose, and identity. He blames his Christian upbringing and decides to walk away from his faith during college.
