Singing Audition for "School of Rock" Play
Auditions open for singers for "School of Rock" stage production. See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on the beloved film, School of Rock follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn extra cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There, he turns a class of straight-A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. Bursting with high-energy performances and electrifying live music, can Dewey lead his students to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school's headmistress finding out? Additional info: Doors open no earlier than 30 minutes prior to a scheduled audition. Recording Guidelines: You may record each of the four excerpts separately, but each excerpt must be performed in a single, unedited take with no cuts. Once recorded, all four excerpts should be combined into one continuous video for submission. Follow the notated music precisely. Pay close attention to all performance indicators, including dynamics, style, articulation, and phrasing. Maintain the correct tempo. You may use a metronome to establish the tempo before each excerpt, but do not play along with the metronome. Ensure high-quality audio and video. While the video does not need to be professionally produced, we need to clearly hear and see your performance. If you are interested please apply.
