Teens Needed for Youth Orchestra

Seeking Young Musicians for Youth Orchestra for the 2025-26 season. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Violinists, violists, cellists, and double bass players ages 12-18 are invited to audition. Audition Requirements: If you are unsure whether you meet the required repertoire levels, please submit the form with details on your current repertoire, and directors will get back to you! 1st Violin: A three octave scale of your choice, and a prepared piece (minimum repertoire level ASTA Grade 6/7 or Haydn/Mozart Concerti or equivalent.) Students should be prepared to sight read. Typical 1st violin repertoire range: Monti Czardas - Sarasate Zigeunerweisen. 2nd Violin: A two or three octave scale of your choice, and a prepared piece (minimum repertoire level ASTA Grade 4 or Vivaldi Violin Concerto in A minor or Bach Double or equivalent). Students should be prepared to sight read. Typical 2nd violin repertoire range: Vivaldi concerti - Mozart sonatas. Viola: A two or three octave scale of your choice, and a prepared piece (minimum repertoire level ASTA Grade 4 or Suzuki Book 4 or Telemann Concerto or equivalent). Students should be prepared to sight read. Cello and Bass: A two or three octave scale of your choice, and a prepared piece (minimum repertoire level of ASTA Grade 4 or Suzuki Book 4 or equivalent).
