About the project: Teresa Pacheco, a mother and wife who wants to end domestic “verbal” abuse in her home, decides to stage a strike. “Out with my mother-in-law,” “I am not a domestic machine,” “I demand equality in my home.” Staged in Mexico, the entire country becomes aware of Teresa’s plight, caused by her family’s behavior. Will they support her in her singular strike? You’ll have to see this strong theatrical comedy. Rate: Participation of the selected talents is voluntary. Additional info: The play is entirely in Spanish, and actors must be fluent in the language to be cast. They will be cold-reading from the script on a first-come, first-served basis. Rehearsals will be scheduled Monday through Friday, May 27 through July 23, between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Performances will be open to the public from July 24 through August 3.
