About the project: Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a brand-new musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films! Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, The Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good? Additional info: PERFORMANCE DATES: August 8-17, 2025 Callbacks (by invitation only) Wednesday, May 21 at 6pm REHEARSALS: Will start after Memorial Day. Most rehearsals begin at 6:00 or 6:30 on weeknights and during the day on weekends. You’ll have the chance to fill out a conflict calendar at the auditions, so be sure to bring your schedule with you. SINGING: Approximately 32 bars of a song of your choosing, preferably in the musical theatre genre and/or in the style of the show. Singing a cappella is not accepted. Option 1: Provide sheet music with key and time signatures clearly marked as well as your chosen cutting. An accompanist will be available. Option 2: Provide an accompanying track without lead vocals. Please have your cutting ready on your personal device to connect to a provided speaker. Option 3: Actors seeking only non-soloing roles in the ensemble may sing in small groups. DANCING: Come in comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothes for the dance portion.
