"The Sound of Music: Youth Edition" Seeks Kids and Teens

Audition for young performers ages 8-18 for "The Sound of Music: Youth Edition". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: You only need to attend ONE of the two audition days. There may be callbacks for this production. Callbacks are scheduled for Thursday, May 22 at 6 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Scenes/sides are available on our website as well. THINGS TO KNOW: · Wear comfortable but nice attire and shoes. No flip-flops, sandals, crocs, etc. Be ready to MOVE. · Auditions will consist of a song from the musical. Links are in the audition folder linked at the end of this post. · Music will be provided for you to sing to. A capella selection will NOT be permitted. · Select the song for the character you would like to be considered for OR sing one of the songs for Ensemble. · There is a dance requirement. Will have a short choreography combo to learn and demonstrate. · Bring resume and headshot if available. Casting: – Will cast between 30-35 actors ages 8-18 for roles in this production. If cast in Sound of Music, there is a production fee. Performance dates are February 5 – 8, 2026. If interested, please apply.
