"THE SECRET GARDEN" Performance Dates: April 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, May 1, 2, 3 Approximate Rehearsal Dates: February 23, 2026 – April 9, 2026 Tech Week: April 5 – 9 There are two incredible roles in The Secret Garden for children. The youngest of the Cratchit children, who suffers from an illness and walks with a crutch. Although his body is weak, his spirit is strong. Tiny Tim can be played by a boy or a girl. Kids between the ages of 7 and 11 are welcome to audition for Tiny Tim. "A CHRISTMAS CAROL"
Mary’s aunt and Archibald Craven’s wife. Died of a tragic accident within her garden and haunts the halls of Misselthwaite Manor. This role is for a soprano who is comfortable singing in her upper register.
The housekeeper at Misselthwaite Manor. Cold and bitter. She expects her rules to be followed. You can audition for this role without singing.
Archibald’s brother. Trapped by the idea that he is responsible for the caretaking of Colin. Though Lily never loved him in return, he remains in love with her, and is unwilling to move on and leave Misselthwaite.
A faithful and kind hearted housemaid. She is from a lower-class family, and has been in service for most of her life. Her wisdom is often far beyond her years.
Mary’s uncle and lord of Misselthwaite Manor. Haunted by the past and afraid of the future, he locks himself away both physically and mentally. Mary painfully reminds him of his deceased wife, Lily, who died ten years ago.
An older gardener, secretly entrusted to take care of the garden after Lily’s death. Knows a great deal about the history of the estate and has worked for the Craven family for decades. You can audition for this role without singing at your audition.
Martha’s younger brother. Looks after the sick plants and animals within the Misselthwaite grounds—including Mary. He is a young man who is between the world of child imagination and adult reasoning. Befriends Mary and convinces her to take care of the Garden.
Headmistress of a private school. Prides herself on nurturing girls with tempers. Mary seems to be more than she can handle.
Mary’s mother. A “dreamer” from the past who doesn’t understand how her sister Lily could truly love Archibald. Very loyal to her husband and refuses to leave India during the cholera outbreak that takes her life.
Mary’s father. Tries to send Rose out of India during the cholera outbreak. He has a very strong connection with his daughter, Mary.
