About the project: A lonely teenager and his edge lord cousin set up an elaborate prank on live stream that goes sideways and forces them to address unspoken truths. Rate: $150/day Additional info: Date: JUNE 14th-15th- soft hold on the 16th Must be a local hire or be able to report as a local hire. There will be no added compensation for travel, housing, or per diem. (Awkward, soft, expressive face) is an intense, 14-year-old, who acts as if he has the whole world on his shoulders. He struggles to connect with other kids his age. His sense of self is completely shot because he’s internalized this struggle, believing he’s the problem. There’s a deep sadness below the surface that he’s gotten good at hiding. Irving finds comfort in social media, addicted to the feeling of camaraderie it gives him, though it never lasts.
(Cool, charismatic) is a 15-year-old, popular Twitch streamer who gets his following by being an edgelord. Quinton represents everything Irving isn’t, he is masculinity personified: muscular, well-dressed, tall, funny. He will do pretty much anything for attention, whether it’s positive or negative attention. There’s hints that Quinton doesn’t actually believe some of the risque things he says or does on his streams, but he is reluctant to go against his huge following for fear of losing them.
