Auditions are a chance to show your enthusiasm, creativity, and love for performing. The most important
thing is to come ready to have fun, take risks, and be yourself on stage!
• Choose a character reading from the audition packet that you connect with and practice it ahead of
time—no need to memorize, just be familiar with it.
• Listen to and sing along with “Under the Sea” (starting at measure 97) if you’d like to feel more
confident singing at auditions.
• Most importantly, come with a positive attitude, make bold choices to show your character, and show your confidence—even if you’re nervous! Directors love to see performers who are engaged, expressive, and open to trying their best.
